Weld seals offer maximum tightness and reliability while at the same time allowing for conditional disassembly if necessary. The selection of different profiles depends on the operating conditions and the resulting operational loads on the weld seal. Weld seals with a hollow lip according to profiles A23, A24, A25 and A42 are designed to optimize the stress conditions in the sealing seam. In particular, weld seals with an internal hollow lip according to profile A42 can, if designed accordingly, also help to minimize the loads on the fastening weld seams.
