SSV SOFTWARE SYSTEMS GmbH was founded in Hanover in 1981 as a development service provider for microprocessor applications in logistics and automation. Since the early 1990s, the company has been developing and producing its own hardware assemblies and systems for industrial use.
The application focus is on industrial M2M and IoT connectivity, communication and security with service-oriented and multifunctional gateways, e.g. for use as AI-based soft sensors (further information: www.ssv-embedded.de/produkte/softsensor).
Our soft sensors support you in your digitalization tasks. They capture an input data image from machines, systems or processes, evaluate it using AI and, for example, provide your low-code applications with the appropriate target variables.
A soft sensor, also called a virtual sensor or sensor fusion, is not a classic real, physical hardware sensor, but a model-based connection of representative measured variables to a target variable.

INTELLIGENT DATA FOR LOW-CODE/SCADA APPLICATIONS
The results of the data analysis of a soft sensor can then be used by a low-code application in the production area of innovative factory systems, e.g. for predictive maintenance, machine vision, control of storage systems, for the operation of autonomous vehicles and for a wide variety of condition monitoring, such as level control using ultrasonic sensors or condition monitoring of a specific radio spectrum and much more.

IN 7 STEPS TO AN AI-BASED SOFT SENSOR
For the development of AI-based soft sensors, we have designed a tried-and-tested process consisting of seven steps with which soft sensors can be created that are precisely tailored to the respective application scenario. The core component of this development process is a tool we have developed, the SSV Data Exploration Tool, or SSV/DET for short. This is used to train, generate and test ML models, among other things.

AI SOFT SENSOR IN PRACTICE:
USE-DEPENDENT MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
At our exhibition stand, we will be showing the AI-based soft sensor MLS/210I, a virtual operating hours and event counter that automatically records and forwards the individual usage phases (e.g. operating hours of exhaust air, operating hours of supply air, number of start-ups of individual components, etc.) of a machine or system.
In addition, the MLS/210I offers AI-based anomaly detection to detect and report abnormalities in the vibration pattern/frequency spectrum of a machine.
This allows the required maintenance appointments to be automatically planned and scheduled depending on the individual machine or system usage. Compared to “classic predictive maintenance sensors”, the MLS/210I enables the actual usage details to be included!

ON-DEMAND WEBINAR:
LOW-CODE APPLICATIONS WITH AI-BASED SOFT SENSORS
If you would like to learn more about soft sensors, please use our free on-demand webinar, in which we answer the following questions, among others:
+ What is a soft sensor and how is it constructed?
+ What does a soft sensor need AI for?
+ What does the development process of a soft sensor look like?
+ What do typical application examples for soft sensors look like?
Of course, we will also be happy to answer your individual questions during the webinar!
The planned duration of the webinar is approx. 60 minutes.
